Our Therapists

Meet Joanna & Steve

Founded by Joanna Wallace, a trauma-informed therapist with deep roots in child protection and early education, and joined by Steve, Sensory Solutions is guided by both professional experience and lived understanding of what it means to seek real support in a regional community. We know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by life’s challenges, and we’re here to offer care that’s creative, gentle, and grounded in hope.

A Safe, Creative Space For Every Age, Every Story

We’re not your typical therapy practice. Sensory Solutions is grounded in trauma-informed care, not just for children but for anyone who needs a different approach. Every session is client-led, paced gently, and built on trust, with no pressure to talk and no one-size-fits-all plans. We support families as a whole, empower parents and carers, and create a calm, sensory-rich space for healing.

Parent Testimonial
“Steve and Joanna were understanding, patient, insightful and fun. They listened to our goals and came up with solutions that actually worked for my kids. Having achievable goals meant we never felt like we were going around in circles. They related naturally and genuinely, helping my kids feel at ease with challenges that would usually cause anxiety. Thank you for listening and making a real difference.”
